Production manager and authorized representative of Mietens & Partner breaks the three-hour mark for the first time

A powerful demonstration of endurance, discipline, willpower, and ambition: our colleague Marvin Krekel, production manager and authorized representative of Mietens & Partner GmbH, set a personal best at the 20^th swb Marathon in Bremen on 5^th October 2025 — breaking the magical three-hour mark for the first time.

In only the third marathon of his running career, Marvin crossed the finish line after 2 hours, 58 minutes, and 7 seconds – a remarkable achievement that stands for perseverance and consistent preparation in both sports and the business world. Despite adverse weather conditions and a partial rerouting of the course due to flooding, he achieved a strong 41^st place overall and an impressive 8^th place in his age group (men 35).

“Pushing boundaries – defeating yourself”

“The marathon was a real challenge, but that's exactly what makes it so appealing. I knew I could finish in under 3 hours this time,” said Marvin after the race. For him, sport is an ideal balance to his everyday working life – and at the same time a way to constantly set himself new goals.
