On Sunday, 5^th October 2025, the auditorium of the Salzgitter-Fredenberg Gymnasium once again became a stage for diversity and community in action: The “Bunte Sole” 2025 event attracted numerous visitors and became a living symbol of integration, creativity, and cohesion in our city. “Sole” is the German word for “brine” and symbolizes the city of Salzgitter, which has a long tradition of salt mining. “Bunte” means “colorful” in English. The management and other employees of Mietens & Partner were also in attendance.

Mietens Partner GmbH has been a proud sponsor of “Bunte Sole” for many years and is delighted to have been part of this special event again in 2025.

A meaningful award – presented to the DLRG

This year, the prize, worth €2,000, was awarded to the DLRG (“Deutsche Lebens-Rettungs-Gesellschaft,” German Life Saving Association) Salzgitter-Bad for a project that embodies true integration: it enables women with a migration background to learn to swim, overcome fears, gain confidence, and emancipate themselves—often against great resistance. Congratulations on winning first place!

The prize is the former “Integration Prize” of the city of Salzgitter, which has been awarded since 2013. It honors not only outstanding projects, but also the many small, everyday initiatives that contribute to living and strengthening integration locally. This award has a special significance for social cohesion in Salzgitter – and is now more important than ever.

A feast for all the senses

The award ceremony was complemented by a varied supporting program with music, dance, hands-on activities, and culinary offerings. The positive atmosphere and numerous encounters made this year's “Bunte Sole” another thoroughly successful celebration for all generations.
