The 50 U.S. States Program
From 1999 to 2008, the United States Mint issued the “50 State Quarters” commemorative coin series, creating the most successful collecting program in the history of numismatics. Due to its overwhelming popularity, it was expanded in 2009 to include an additional six coins for the U.S. territories and the Federal District of Washington. Inspired by the unique coin series, the great “50 U.S. States Program” has now been developed. Each note is dedicated to one of the 50 states and features the portrait of an important historical figure with a connection to the state, an animal or other specific images.
