A Piece of Numismatic German History
This program is dedicated to an exciting and historically valuable collecting area. From 1953 to 2001, the Federal Republic of Germany issued 43 different 5- and 43 different 10-D-Mark commemorative coins. They are made either of silver (.925 or.625) or of “Magnimat,” a special copper-nickel alloy. The 5-D-Mark commemorative coins were struck from this material starting in 1978, after the silver price had risen sharply due to the famous attempt by the Hunt brothers to corner the silver market and the ensuing speculation.
All commemorative coins come with a certificate featuring interesting information. The motifs range from famous personalities and buildings to anniversaries and important events in German history. The coins are delivered in high-quality Quickslab® capsules.
