In 1915, the world famous poem “In Flanders Fields”, was written by the Canadian Officer John McCrae, in memory of a fallen comrade. Even today, the flowers of the red poppy are a well-known symbol, that reminds us of the First World War. This collection includes a total of 6 silver coins from Germany, Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Russia and France. Each of these coins was issued in 1915.
