History

The sole proprietorship registered under the name Ulf Mietens, begins with the sale of primarily Peruvian banknotes. During his degree in business management, Ulf Mietens sells banknotes from the cellar and garage of his parent’s house.

The company expands its product range with coins and banknotes from the successor states of the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia. Contact offices emerge in Slovenia, Latvia and Peru.

Founding of Mietens & Partner GmbH. Purchase of commercial space with 150 m² total area. Expansion of the product range with primitive money, treasure and wreck coins. Move to Salzgitter-Gebhardshagen.

First apprentice as management assistant in wholesale and foreign trade.

Purchase of a special machine to mount modern circulation coin sets from all over the world. The MietensPak emerges as innovative packaging for circulation coins.

Purchase of first own operational building, with 360m² floor space. Range expansion with thematically compiled banknotes and coin sets.

The coin collecting market expands enormously, due to the introduction of the Euro currency. The company successfully sells products created around the Euro introduction, worldwide. Conception of the first numismatic programs for mail order.

Expansion of the existing business premises by building a warehouse and production hall (floor space approx. 930 m²).

Cooperation with worldwide leading coin trading companies in the area of numismatic programs.

Mietens & Partner GmbH becomes a training centre for digital and print media designers.

Production of product ranges with worldwide renowned brands. Purchase of the new company headquarters at Porschestr. 16 in Salzgitter. Increase in floor area from 930 m² to almost 4,000 m².

Comprehensive process optimisation. Development and introduction of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Certification in accordance with ISO 9001 for the area of wholesale with coins and banknotes, and designing coin packaging. Marketing consultation for numismatic collection ranges.

Mietens & Partner GmbH becomes a training centre for warehousing logistics. Recruitment of the 30th apprentice.

Investment in opening up non-numismatic markets.
